WelcomeOn behalf of the U.S. Department of Education, Office of Innovation and Improvement, Synergy Enterprises, Inc., would like to welcome you. The Technology in Education Summit will be held in the Riggs Center at the campus of the University of Maryland, College Park on Wednesday, August 6 from 9:00-4:30 p.m. This event is being conducted in partnership with the University of Maryland, College Park; Maryland MESA; and Johns Hopkins University, Center for Technology in Education. Teachers and school leaders are invited to gain direct experience using some new instructional technologies that teach mathematics or reading. The highlight of the meeting will be hands-on training demonstrations by all of the current grantees funded by the Star Schools program. The opening address will be provided by Dr. Joe A. Hairston, Superintendent of the Baltimore County Public Schools. Participating teachers should have teaching responsibilities and interests that match one of the following:
